Nepal is blessed with the most awe inspiring gift of nature anywhere in the world. It is home to the mighty Himalayas, including the world's highest Mt. Everest and numerous minor peaks. The largest mountains draw professional climbers from around the world, but the minor peaks can be tackled without being part of a major organized expedition. They are mainly non-technical climbs but adventurous and give a true mountaineering experience. In fact some of them are relatively challenging snow and ice climbing of high standard. They are rated as trekking peaks by elevation and not by technical difficulty.
