This trip gives you an opportunity to explore the historical and archaeological interests in the medieval towns of the Kathmandu Valley and visit to the sacred birth place of Lord Buddha at Lumbini, located in the western border to India, including wildlife observation in Nepal's biggest Chitwan National Park. You are taken to the major temples and shrines located in the capital city including the huge Buddhist stupa at Boudhnath, Swayambunath, and other important palaces that have high religious values for both Hindus and Buddhists.

Itinerary
Day 01 :

Arrival in Kathmandu, set up in the hotel. In the evening you are invited for a welcome dinner in a typical Nepali Restaurant with folk dancing. |
Day 02 :

We begin our day sightseeing of the highlights of Kathmandu by visiting two very important religious centers: Pashupatinath temple for Hindus and Boudhanath stupa, possibly the largest stupa in the world and the center for Tibetan school of Buddhism. We then drive to Bhaktapur the medieval citiy of devotees and the best preserved of all the old cities of Kathmandu Valley. |
Day 03 :

Today after breakfast, we visit Swayambhunath stupa, also known as monkey temple, on top of the hill overlooking Kathmandu valley and then we visit Patan, famous for its arts and crafts. Here we visit the Tibetan cultural center first founded by the Tibetan refugees as an exhibition and shopping complex of carpets, jewelry and many interesting souvenirs. We then drive to visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square, the place of the Malla and then the Shah Kings of Nepal. Then we return back to the hotel passing by Indrachowk and Assan Streets, the traditional business hub of Kathmandu. |
Day 04 :

Today we fly to the Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, which is revered as a place of holy pilgrimage. Listed as a World Heritage Site by Unesco, Lumbini is being developed with international support as an international Buddhist pilgrimage site and a symbol of world peace. On reaching Lumbini, we check in to our hotel and then take a walk around the Sacred Lumbini Garden where the Buddha was born. |
Day 05 :

Today we explore Lumbini and surroundings. Many Asian countries with large numbers of Buddhists have constructed, or are constructing, temples, monasteries and stupas near the Sacred Garden in the International Monastery Zone. The various shrines, reflecting the different architectural traditions of the respective countries, give Lumbini an international feel and enhance its message of universal friendship and brotherhood. Then we drive to Tilaurkot, 27km west of Lumbini. An important archaeological site, Tilaurkot evokes the ancient palace of King Suddhodhan, Siddhartha Gautam's father, where the Buddha spent his formative years as a Shakya prince. The Museum in Tilaurkot holds coins, pottery, jewelry and ornaments from 700 BC-400 AD. |
Day 06 :

After breakfast, we drive to Royal Chitwan National Park, Right after lunch, we begin our safari activities almost immediately with a briefing, elephant ride, jungle walks, canoe ride and jeep ride in pursuit of myriad flora and fauna, including the rhinoceros and the Royal Bengal Tigers. In the evening, we have some cultural entertainment and a bonfire during winter. |

Today we have a full day of jungle activities. |
Day 08 :

In the morning, jungle activities perhaps an elephant safari, nature walk or jungle drive .After breakfast, we fly back to Kathmandu in the mid-morning and check in to a hotel. The rest of the day we are totally free with time to explore the city. |

Today is a free day for you to spend exploring on your own. |
Day 10 :

Kathmandu Departure: free until departure transfer to the airport. |
The Price Includes:Transfer to and from Kathmandu Airport, hotel accommodation on a double occupancy basis with breakfast, welcome dinner, all land transfers and sightseeing tours using private vehicles escorted by English or other language speaking guides, all entry fees of heritage sites, shrines and national park.
